Printmaking

This term for Art we have been focusing on Printmaking. We looked at artwork by Fatu Feu’u to inspire and influence our designs. We carved our designs into craft foam and then used ink and rollers to create the prints.

Celebrating Our Home Learning

This morning the students from Room 10 and 11 who completed their Home Learning Challenges celebrated with a muffin and hot chocolate. Mrs Geal and Miss Gosden were very impressed with the effort the students put into their projects.

International Week of Peace

It is the international week of peace. Mr Russell, our school caretaker, came and spoke to Room 10 about his peace keeping work in East Timor.

Elections 2017

The Kokari Nui Team have been learning about how to vote and why it is important for our future. We had our own voting booth and chose who we wanted to vote for. We are looking forward to the results!

If you are 18 years or older you can come and vote at Linwood North School on Saturday 23^rd September, 2017.

Dogsmart

We had Jock the dog visit us from Dogsmart. We learnt about safety around dogs, especially approaching them when they are alone. We sung a song with the message "when the dogs on its own, leave it alone."
