Room 10 Term 2 Homework

Well the second term is now up and running!

The homework plan for Term 2 is similar to Term 1.  As a reminder this is what I'd expect from the children:-

1.  To read at least 4 times a week.  They receive 3 house points if they read 4 times and can show me your signature in their notebook on a Friday morning.  They receive 2 house points for reading 3 times provided there are 3 signatures in their notebook.

2.  To learn their 10 spelling words.  The children are tested on their words each Friday and are issued the next 10 words.

3.  Go on mathletics at least for 40 minutes during the week.  Probably 2 chunks of 20 minutes is best.  Since Week 7 Room 10 has consistently been the best class at mathletics (this includes the holiday)

4.  Go onto Reading eggs at least once a week.

5.  Learn their basic facts.  There will be a basic facts test on Friday morning each week

6.  Take part in the Learning Challenge.  (This is a one-off and the children have about 3 weeks to complete it)
